Why I need your help!?
I am working towards entering the Rabbinate (that means training to become a rabbi) and becoming the first transgender person to do so outside of America.
To say its a big thing would be a massive understatement, I have dedicated my life to it, sometimes its a real struggle and sometimes its an amazing adventure!
There's not a lot of funding and support out there for people who want to study in this field, especially if they don't fit in with people's idea of 'normal'.
I was once told that it would be hard to for me to convince people to help me with funding because it would be a poor investment because no one will want to hire a transgender Rabbi. That is simply not acceptable to me.
I've decided to try and raise my own scholarship so I can go back to school next year and get another step closer to making my dreams come true.
